Early Autumnal Vineyard Wedding Inspiration

Early Autumnal Vineyard Wedding Inspiration

via

Autumn has to be one of our very favourite seasons to get married.

The palette is beautiful, the lighting is just right, and you've got an abundance of edible options, for both your catering, and your decor.

So while this wedding inspiration shoot was originally conceived as a unique summer celebration, we think it works just as well for a fall wedding too.

Beautifully photographed by Cathy Durig Photography and styled by the fab team at We Tie the Knots, this shoot is romantic and elegant, with a champagne gown, luxe blooms and classic stationery.

A striped tablescape, with red wine cocktails (a nod to the winery setting at Raffaldini Vineyards) and sweet treats, inject a little personality into an otherwise refined affair.

Scroll down to bag lots of inspiration for your own big day, but first up, Cathy Durig Photography tells us a little more about the concept...

From The Photographer

For this inspiration shoot, I decided to incorporate the dark rich colors of summer by using the summer fruits of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and concord grapes. It's rare you see such a bold and dramatic color palette during the summer months, but I was able to balance the richness by using peach tones in the dress, as well as the floral bouquets and tablescape, to even everything out. We decided to shoot at a vineyard to again compliment the dramatic summer experience. I was able to incorporate the bold colors of winery with our signature refreshing summer cocktail, Berry Mint Sangria. One of my favorite parts of the shoot were the blackberry and raspberry infused ice cubes used to garnish the signature cocktails. You can be dramatic during the summer, and still keep cool! It rained on and off the entire day. In some photos you can even see the clouds rolling in over the mountain which just added to the entire style of the shoot! I was thrilled! When it was raining, we were able to photograph most of the details in the wine tasting rooms, like the beautiful stationary suite. Again, we went for bold rich tones of burgundy and gold, and used the same hand dyed silk ribbon on the bouquet to tie it all together and add just enough lightness to create an elegant, but bold look. We ended the shoot in the vineyard, and the sun literally came out just for the last 10 minutes prior to sunset. It was stunning, and the rows and rows of vineyards just added the perfect touch of elegant drama to wrap up the day.

Anyone else excited for fall now? I just love the berry sangria (those flags are so cute!) and the cake looked beautiful too.

Thanks so much to Cathy Durig Photography, We Tie the Knots and their stellar team of vendors, for sharing their winery wedding inspiration with us.
