Carla and Greg were married on 31st October because they wanted to have a Halloween themed wedding. With just £9000 in their budget, they were able to plan the spooky wedding of their dreams at Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel & Spa in Caerphilly.

"We both love Halloween and anything in the horror genre so we wanted to bring that to the wedding, especially since we were married on October 31st!" Carla wrote. "We used lots of classic horror film posters for our tables. Miniature pumpkins sat on each table and a large carved pumpkin filled with flowers greeted guests as they entered the reception. All our guests received a little 'trick or treat' bag filled with Reese's peanut butter pumpkins and lots of other Halloween chocolates. We incorporated lots of autumnal elements with the warm colours and florals. I carried a bouquet of sunflowers with wheat, berries and fresh chillies and there were similar bouquets for the bridesmaids."

"We saved money on our decorations such as the horror movie posters, by doing them ourselves", she continued. "The favours and various decorative bits and pieces were also bought online and from high street stores."

"My advice for other couples would be to communicate with each other as you can't do it all yourself", she concluded. "Also make sure you choose what's best for you as a couple and not just what family or friends want. Its your big day! Planning takes time, effort and team work so if it gets too much take some time out from it and breathe! Finally, on the day, pause to take it all in, and enjoy every second as the day goes so fast!"
