Santorini is high up on my list of places I need to see for myself. Looking through beautiful wedding albums such as todays, I find it hard to believe that it's a real destination. It looks too perfect. White stone walls and blue doors, breathtaking views - I can't get enough and todays Santorini island wedding simply has me wishing for more. Nyree and Dean met at work and fell in love very quickly. Wanting to take a break from their lives in Australia for a year, they decided to travel the world and with Santorini one of the stops on their itinerary, they made plans to host their intimate wedding there. After contacting the ever wonderful Chris Spira to see if she could photograph their wedding, they settled on a date - the day that would mark one year on their once in a lifetime trip. Delighted that their nearest and dearest shared their passion for travel, Nyree and Dean exchanged vows in front of their families on a terrace overlooking the caldera. Dining al fresco for their wedding reception, we especially love how they incorporated olive branches into their tablescapes and I can only imagine how wonderful the atmosphere was that evening as they sat with their guests amongst the twinkling lights of the village behind.
