Bright & Happy Coral Rustic Summer Country Wedding - Whimsical...

Dreaming of summer days? Me too. We're so tantalisingly close now and these sun shining images are transporting me right there today.

WWW readers Fiona and Danny tied the knot on the 25th July 2014 at Colshaw Hall in Cheshire. They hoped for a celebration which was relaxed, natural, fun and happy. Sounds perfect huh?

Coral brights teamed with wild style flowers looked gorgeous. Fiona wore Amanda Wyatt and Danny donned tweed. There was an epic naked cake, balloons and rustic décor to boot.

Thanks so very much to Jo Bradbury Photography for providing these dreamy images for us to pour over today.

THE PROPOSAL | We both absolutely love the TV programme River Cottage which is based in a big farm on the Devon/Dorset border. We were on holiday in June 2013 in Lyme Regis with my Mum, brother and his girlfriend when Danny surprised me saying he'd booked "Friday night at River Cottage". We arrived at the top of the farm, got driven down in a tractor and treated to a drink in a tipi, then had hours to explore the grounds with champagne and Elderflower wine before sitting down to a feast of local produce prepared by the River Cottage chefs. This was where Danny got down on one knee, overlooking the stunning Axe Valley and proposed with a ring that said "Marry Me" on it. It was the most special, beautiful proposal I could have ever wished for. We then finished the evening back with my family taking part in a summer solstice light parade on the seafront at Lyme Regis. The whole evening was magical.

THE VISION | We wanted the day to be really relaxed, natural, fun and happy and to reflect our love of all things summery and country styled, so we went for a bright and colourful yet rustic feel with lots of wild flowers, slate and even tweed!

THE PLANNING PROCESS | I loved all aspects of the planning process. My Mum Anne was a star. She found the venue which we all fell in love with immediately and was there throughout the whole process offering support and advice in the perfect mix. We had a great time planning all aspects. Danny was brilliant and was involved in all executive decisions but let me get on with most of the finer details.

THE VENUE | Colshaw Hall, Over Peover. This is a fairly new venue and was relatively unknown when Mum Anne discovered it. It is a beautiful old house with an ultra modern addition called The Peel Suite. The two areas work in perfect harmony together. Myself, Mum and my bridesmaids all got ready in one of the luxurious bedrooms of the Old Hall then we had the ceremony outside in the walled garden. It was a gorgeous, hot summers day and it had been our dream to have an outside ceremony so it could not have been better.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I found my dress very quickly from my local bridal boutique The Wedding Shop in Alderley edge, which has sadly since closed down. It was called Portia by Amanda Wyatt, a local designer and I fell in love with it immediately. I wore pearl and silver necklace from John Lewis and a pear bracelet which was a present from a family friend when I was a child. My Mum also gave me the parasol from my parents wedding which was my good luck charm.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Danny wore a very sexy dark blue morning suit with a grey and blue tweed waistcoat from Whitfield and Ward, Wilmslow. It was a great mix between wedding smart but with a twist of country living. We loved it!

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We wanted music to be a big part of the day and spent weeks choosing the right music for each part of the day. Unfortunately in the excitement, the meticulously planned playlist we had made for whilst guests were arriving and waiting for me to walk down the aisle was forgotten but I don't think anyone noticed. We hired a pianist and singer called Nick Steed who sang a beautiful version of the Bryan Adams song "Heaven" whilst I walked down the aisle, then Andy Williams "You're just to good to be true" just as finished the ceremony. He then played throughout the drinks reception and played "Sowing the Seeds of Love" as our entrance song for the wedding breakfast which was a highlight of the day!

We just had one reading by Neil Marsh who was best man to my Dad at my parent's wedding. Unfortunately my Dad passed away in 2010 but this was a lovely way of ensuring he was still a big part of the ceremony. The reading was from "The Drovers Stone" at Gleneagles which was a place very special to my Dad's heart and was called the Good Luck Chant. We felt it matched the day perfectly.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I had 3 bridesmaids. They wore a very summery, bright coral dress from Monsoon and held white hydrangea which made a stunning contrast next to the coral dress. It was the perfect summery dress for a very hot day and looked great next to my dress and the boy's suits.

THE FLOWERS | We went for a very rustic, country theme with an abundance of wild , colourful flowers arranged in various pots and jam jars that Mum had decorated beautifully with lace, hessian and ribbons.

THE CAKE | We had a "naked cake" made very kindly for us by Sue Wiles, my brother's girlfriend's Mum. We could not have wished for anything more. It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. We had various tiers of different flavoured un-iced "naked" sponge that were decorated with lots of berries and flowers. It was honestly a work of art and tasted incredible!!

INVITATIONS | Our very special family friend Victoria Leech made the beautiful invitations for us. She is so talented and took an idea we gave her and improved it and personalised it way beyond our expectations.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Jo Bradbury. We met with Jo a couple of times prior to the wedding and she spent time really trying to find out the type of photos we wanted and the main things we wanted to capture. She was a delight to have round during the day and the photographs are stunning. What is great is that Jo gives you the originals of all the photos she's taken meaning we can make as many copies as we want etc. She was also very flexible with the timings, staying until the end whereas some photographers charge for a certain number of hours etc.

We also had a videographer. This was Phil Peden from Seven Creative Movies. He made us the most beautiful wedding DVD and captured exactly everything we asked for. He also made us something called a "Weddioke". This is something I would recommend everyone to check out. It is essentially a music video made throughout your day with guests miming and dancing to various sections of a song. We chose "The Power of Love" and it is hilarious!! We cannot recommend doing this highly enough. It is just a great, fun memento of the best day of our lives that we never tire of watching.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We had great fun in making all the decorations. We were so lucky in that the venue was already so beautiful and didn't actually need anything doing to it/decorating at all but we still added some finishing touches. My bridesmaid Katie made us some gorgeous bunting that matched the colours of the dresses and suits which we hung up with a "Mr+Mrs" sign and also around our card table. My Mum found a picnic hamper which we used for the cards and decorated with lots of hearts, bunting and photos of me and Danny over the years. We had lots of rustic style hearts hung all around the venue which were decorated by my Mum and family friend Barbara and jars of flowers everywhere! Danny and I visited a reclamation yard where we bought lots of old slate. We cleaned it up and painted it then used it with chalk pens to create our table plan and also menus for the table. We were so happy with the results! Danny also chopped down lots of logs from the garden which we used as bases for our table names. A lot of love, effort and personal touches went in the décor.

THE HONEYMOON | We had a mini moon to Turkey straight after the wedding but for our main honeymoon we asked for contributions as wedding presents via the website buyourhoneymoon.com and we are finally off to Cuba tomorrow morning!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The moment just before walking out down the aisle when it was just me and my brother Alastair (who was giving me away), this was very emotional and special and I'll remember it forever.
Danny loves tractors so Colshaw helped me arrange a surprise for him in the form of a tractor arriving during the drinks reception. Jo caught some amazing shots of us posing with the tractor ☺

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Definitely look into doing a "weddioke". It is so much more fun than the standard wedding DVD, we want to watch it all the time!
