From Jasmine Pettersen Photography: "I have a special relationship with Sri Lanka; with family living in Colombo, we visit at least annually. Each time I am there I am inspired by the colours and atmosphere of this beautiful island and feel compelled to create. With this shoot, I wanted to capture the lush, sultry atmosphere of the tropics.
I have always been particularly inspired by the earthy, organic gardens of iconic Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa and was fortunate enough to secure one of them for this shoot. It was like a secret garden, with little surprises around every corner. It should also be said that Sri Lanka is an incredible location for destination weddings, with some of the most magical boutique hotels, such as Amangalla in Galle, or Taprobane Island (your own private island, anyone?). If a small, destination wedding or elopement is on the cards for you, Sri Lanka is my pick."
