It's Good Friday here in the UK, and a very good Friday it is too!

Not only do we get a four day weekend (woop!), we also get to share one of the most gorgeous DIY weddings (like, ever!) with you guys. And my goodness is it beautiful.

Do you remember Franzi and Dominik's effortlessly cool civil ceremony in Berlin from a few months back? (If not, you've really got to check out their impossibly chic style.)

Well today, we're sharing their spectacular Bavarian bash, and once again, the wonderful Ashley Ludaescher Photography was there to capture their celebration.

I'm almost lost for words when it comes to describing this wedding (and that doesn't happen often!), but I just love how every last detail is executed with such style, creativity and an element of fun.

From a balloon parade to a pinata party, a chill-out tippee to a truck bed bar, this wedding is adorned with memorable details (and stealworthy ideas!). Franzi and Dominik transformed her family's Bavarian barn into the ultimate wedding venue.

Scroll down to gush over, swoon over and pin this gorgeous wedding, and read more about all the hard work (and 1300 flowers!) that went into it, from photographer extraordinaire, Ashley Ludaescher ...

Wedding Day Snapshot

From the Photographer

A few days after Dominik and Franzi's city hall wedding in Berlin, Andreas and I traveled to Bavaria to photograph their church wedding in their hometown. Not only are they just the sweetest (and gorgeous!) couple, their family and friends were equally welcoming and it was crystal clear that these two are just a perfect match. It was such a lovely celebration, with so many beautiful handcrafted details, and was definitely a labor of love with their family and friends coming together to help make the day amazing. This wedding was definitely one of my favorites of the year. Franzi and Dominik are not only the sweetest couple and so madly in love, they are both super creative and have a fabulous sense of style. It was a truly a DIY wedding done right. The details were beautiful and looked professional, yet were all handmade. While the event was gorgeous with so many sweet little details, the main focus was on the love and commitment of Franzi and Dominik and making sure all of their guests had "the best day ever". The bride's family owns a hotel in the Bavarian countryside. As they have hosted parties there her entire life, she wanted the wedding to be a bit different experience for all of their guests. The floral centerpieces and bridal bouquet were created by Blumenbett in Berlin and the bride purchased 1300 flowers from the flower market including "Sarah Bernhardt" Peonies, English roses, garden roses and baby's breath, which decorated the barn and garden. Her mother created the floral arch at the entrance of the church from peonies and baby's breath. The church was the same church that both Franzi's parents and grandparents also tied the knot in, and was such a beautiful space. They drove in her mama's cute old VW Beetle decorated with flowers to and from the church. All the DIY details looked incredible and I was shocked they had done it all on their own. They hosted the cocktail hour in the garden of the hotel and then asked all of their guests to take a balloon and follow them down the road. The guests were all blown away when they saw what Franzi and Dominik had turned the old barn into. They served cocktails out of a truck bed, had a teepee for lounging during the cocktail hour, and the groom made the coolest photobooth stand from reclaimed wood for guests to enjoy

Franzi on the Photography

A fter lots of research on various blogs was pretty clear that Ashley is the perfect photographer for our wedding.

She has the perfect eye for details. Ashley and Andreas's love and attentive nature to their work made our day even more perfect. Our wedding photos are simply amazing. Our wedding as a whole was truly the best day ever.

Isn't it just incredible. And just imagine how hard it was for us to narrow down the pictures! I said the same about their chic civil ceremony, but I think how much this couple just beam at eachother, makes their photographs even more special.

And can you believe every last detail was DIY?

Thanks so much to Ashley Ludaescher Photography and of course, Franzi and Dominik for sharing their sensational barn wedding with us. Don't forget to share your love for the happy couple in the comments below.
