Monica and Panos eloped from Canada's Toronto, seeking a place to marry in that would create fantastic and lasting memories of the start of their new life together. They found their perfect destination in the Greek island of Santorini. We're always blown away by the beauty of this island and the absolutely jaw-dropping views from the cliff top ceremonies we see here. This wedding is definitely no exception, and the ever-brilliant Anna Roussos was there to capture Monika and Panos' amazing day.
"When we thought of our wedding day, we didn't really want to have the traditional memories of a Toronto wedding: formal church, followed by food, followed by speeches, followed by more food, and a little bit of dancing to end it all. We wanted to make the moment last our whole lifetime- a wedding that we would never forget, want to change, or even say the usual "if I could do it all over again I would do it differently..." To decide on a destination, we sought out places in the world that would create a timeless memory for us- a memory that we shared with only a select few and that we could keep as our most cherished moment to start our lives together with. Santorini island kept standing out: the sunset, the cliffs, and the enchantment of Greece (Panos being Greek), eventually won us over. There is something about the air there that made us fall in love with it, and luckily we went with Santorini as our wedding destination. It became the place we began our journey together, and the place we shared our honeymoon. It will also be the place we visit often, remembering the perfect day we shared with our closest of friends and family, with the spectacular Santorini sunset as our backdrop."
