Happy Valentine's Day!

While we not ones for inflated bouquets or expensive restaurants, we hope you're having a gorgeous day with your other half, with perhaps breakfast in bed, a long walk or a cosy night in planned for this evening.

All week we've been celebrating Valentine's Day on the blog, with a heart DIY, a love song playlist, lovely lingerie and tips for having the most romantic wedding ever! We even showed you guys some V-day printables in case you'd forgotten to buy a card.

And then there was Paris. This week was something of a love letter to the most romantic city on the planet, with our pick of where to eat, sleep and visit on your honeymoon in Paris, plus our super chic style guide of Paris packing essentials.

So for February 14th itself, we just had to take you back to The City of Lights. Karen and Alex's destination bridal session, is almost too romantic for words!

Alex and Karen are a chic Hong Kong couple, who decided to visit Paris to celebrate their engagement, ahead of their Lake Como wedding. (This pair certainly know their romantic backdrops!)

They enlisted Italian photographer, Giacomo of Aberrazioni Cromatiche Studio to capture their day, and we think you'll agree, he did a pretty beautiful job!

Paris is no doubt the perfect place for promises of eternal love. La Ville Lumiere, The City of Lights, has represented throughout the years, the most popular destination for couples. Romantic, classic, rich in history and art, Paris is able to embrace the contemporary style keeping its classical elegance alive, always considered one of its distinguishing features. For this reason Alex and Karen have chosen Paris: to turn their engagement into a magical moment. We have decided to tell their story walking on the city bridges, arches and promenades, stopping from time to time at some cafès or along the Seine riverside. We told this story focusing on the couple's smiles and glances. Paris, in the background, mesmerizes every shot with its magic. To do that, we had everything we needed : we have spent a whole day with the couple and, helped by a beautician and a hair stylist, Karen even had the chance to change her look.
