Fate has had many influences in many love stories, such as the story of Andre and Nikita. Although they have known each other for quite some time, it was only later that they found their soul mates in one another. Yeah Yeah photography had the honor of capturing this couple's big day at Waterkloof Wine Estate just outside of Cape Town. A wedding that will inspire you in more than one way, enjoy it with us.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We met ten years ago in Somerset West and have always been in and around each other
social circles but the timing for us was never in our favour, until the October of 2011. We
had both moved to Johannesburg for separate reasons but clearly fate had a surprise in
store for us! We met up on the first weekend that Andre had arrived and there was no
turning back, it was our time!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We had been talking about getting engaged for a while however Andre had said that it
would happen in the first six months of 2013. I had been planning Andre's 30th birthday
party for the 27th of December 2012 and had kept myself busy with making that special
for him. On the night he seemed a bit strange and I had thought perhaps the party was
too over the top and he felt overwhelmed. Little did I know... He stood up to give a
speech and called me up to thank me for everything and the next thing he was on his
knee and I was crying. It was truly unexpected and so special.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The most wonderful feeling for me on the day was the way Andre looked at me. I could
see the love in his eyes and his attentive manner on the day was incredibly special. He
really did everything he could to ensure I felt like a princess and that all was going
smoothly. I will never forget the little kisses, hand squeezes, hugs and 'checking in's' that
kept the whole day real but it also felt like a wonderful dream.

Have your best friend or sister stay with you the night before so you have someone to
spend the day with from the very beginning.
Relax.

Accept help on the day.

Plan, plan, plan. [I had an excel workbook with budgets, timelines, to do lists etc that
streamlined the whole process.]

Feel each moment on the day but take a special alone moment during the reception to
connect with your husband.
