This is the festive season and celebrations are everywhere. Well today we are celebrating by sharing with you the stunning wedding of Joseph and Rose shot by the talented Luke Tannous. Luke has a great eye and captures emotional moments beautifully, we are so honored to share his work with you today.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

Joseph and I were both born and raised in a small town in the North-West province of South Africa called Klerksdorp. Although we have known of each other since we were very young, it took relocating to Johannesburg for a friendship between us to begin growing. Joseph arrived in Johannesburg in 2006 to start a new business and I moved to Johannesburg two years later in 2008 to further my career. We would see each other fairly regularly as one of my best friends just happens to be Joseph's cousin.

Our budding love only blossomed, however, in July 2013 in the beautiful village of Hadeth El-Joubbeh in Lebanon. We had both traveled to Lebanon to attend Joseph's cousin's wedding. The setting couldn't have been more perfect: a balmy Lebanese summer, a fairytale wedding filled with romance, family and friends gathered to celebrate love, and cool evening walks through the rustic village. It was in the shadow of the cedars of Lebanon that we decided to let our love fully bloom, and we haven't looked back since.

I said yes | How did the proposal go down?

Joseph asked me to be his wife on Christmas day 2013, surrounded by my family. It all started with a three hour road trip to my brother's house in Bloemfontein, during which Joseph was (unusually) quiet. No matter how I tried to make conversation, he didn't mutter a single word.

Joseph seized the opportunity of a garage pit stop to corner my parents (who were travelling behind us in another vehicle) to ask them for their blessing, under the pretense of wishing them a merry Christmas. While this was happening, I was left to guard the running car all according to Joseph's master plan. Of course, my parents happily gave their blessing and about two hours later - during the chaotic exchanging and opening of gifts - Joseph quietly disappeared for a few minutes.

When he returned, he had in his hand the final gift of the day: something in a little blue box. He fell on his knee and, with a voice shaking with emotion, asked if I would be his wife. Completely shocked with happy tears streaming down my face, I answered of course yes!

The big day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Joseph and I had agreed before our wedding that we would make a conscious effort to just enjoy every moment of our wedding day, no matter what happened. And that is exactly what we did. There were many spectacular moments on the day but the most magical was at the end of our marriage ceremony, just after our priest Fr. Bohé had announced us as husband and wife. Suddenly, the church organ started up. From somewhere within our guests, echoing up into the rafters of the church, a majestic voice sang a single sentence: "May God bless you". Slowly, more voices joined in, producing a heavenly melody. One by one, our flash mob rose up and began walking toward Joseph and I, all the while singing "May God Bless you". It was incredible. Their harmonious blessing just took our breath away. It felt like a true blessing, better than anything we could have hoped for. My husband and I still get chills thinking about it today, and it's the one moment our guests are still talking about.

Forever and Always | Any advice for future brides

You will realize that your wedding day is not yours alone. Decide what's really important for you and your fiance and prepare to sacrifice some things and be flexible. Sometimes, you'll have to let something go and move on. Although a very important one, it is only one day in your life. Remember that it's the days after your wedding that really count.
Make a conscious effort to enjoy every moment of your wedding day, no matter what, because it passes incredibly quickly. If anything doesn't go according to plan, it will be out of your control so try and get some good professional help to deal with any unforeseen issues. We had a fantastic wedding coordinator, Lynn Cohen, who we couldn't have done without!
