With this time of year full of festive parties and events, it's always handy to have a few Christmas cocktail and canapé recipes on hand to keep everyone in the spirit of the season.

Along with Love Lust List members Cin Cin and our sister blog, Rock My Style, we've rounded up some of the best easy-but-oh-so-impressive recipes for a festive drinks party.

And if you're having a winter wedding - these would make the perfect nibbles or starters for your reception.

David At Cin Cin: Here at Cin Cin, we love using authentic Italian food and drink produce to wow guests at our weddings and events and to give them something they will always remember. And with these simple recipes, you too can impress your friends and family this Christmas!

Pomegranate Bellini

Bellinis are a fun, refreshing and easy cocktail option to serve your party guests. And Pomegranate is a delicious winter choice for this traditional cocktail.

Ingredients & Method (6 servings):

In a jug, mix 180ml of chilled Pomegranate puree with 90ml of Limoncello liqueur, the juice of 1/2 lemon and a handful of ice. Give it a stir and when ready to serve, fill 1/3 of a champagne flute with the mix and top with chilled Prosecco. Add a sprig of rosemary for a Christmas garnish.

Sgroppino

This Italian cocktail with the funny name (pronounced 'scrow-pee-noh') roughly translates to 'little un-knotter' in that it is meant to help cut through all the overeating we indulge in this time of year. Great with desserts.

Ingredients & Method (6 servings):

Add 12 scoops of lemon sorbet to a large bowl and pour over 150ml of vodka and 150ml of Prosecco. Whisk it up until it has a smooth consistency and pour into champagne flutes. Garnish with a swirl of lemon rind.

Christmas Crostini

Crostini are a great party starter that and you have endless possibilities of toppings to match with your Christmas cocktail. Here are a few of my faves to get you into the festive spirit.

Ingredients & Method (12 servings):

Take a large ciabatta loaf and slice it into pieces no more that an inch thick. Lay them on a baking tray and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with Malden sea salt. Place them in the oven at 180 degrees until golden, usually 10 minutes. While they are still hot, add your toppings such as:

- Gorgonzola, pear and honey - add a slice of Gorgonzola Dolce, top with a thin slice of pear and drizzle a little honey for sweet kick.

- Ricotta, spicy salami and rocket - top the hot crostini with some fresh ricotta, add some sliced hot salami and top with a sprig of rocket to garnish.

- Broadbean, parmesan and mint - bring a handful of frozen broadbeans to the boil, cool under cold water and slip them out of their pods. Then mash them with a fork, adding a handful of grated parmesan and 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Add chopped mint to taste and season well. Top the warm crostini with the mix for a lovely refreshing veg option.

Honey Glazed Figs with Goats' Cheese & Truffle Honey

This classy canapé is easier to make than you might think. And figs are a delicious starter that will bring out the best in your cocktails.

Ingredients & Method (12 servings):

Blend 100g of goat's cheese with a little milk to make a mousse. If you don't have a blender, whisk it in a bowl until you get a creamy consistency. Cut 6 fresh figs into quarters length ways with each serve to have 2 quarters on a skewer. Dust with a little icing sugar and blowtorch to caramelise (or put under the grill, keeping an eye on them to make sure they do not burn).

Brush the honey onto the figs while they are hot. To serve, feed two fig quarters onto a cocktail skewer and pipe or spoon on the goat's cheese mousse with a sprig of parsley to garnish.
