I am extremely proud of this shoot, and I'm not afraid to say so! A collaboration between myself (aka Louise Beukes Styling) and a team of exceptionally talented London wedding pro's for You & Your Wedding Magazine, it combines two of my great loves - industrial interiors and lush organic florals. The team at Y&YW asked us to answer the dilemma of one of their reader brides-to-be, who couldn't decide how to bring together her vintage style, her husband's love of chemistry and a deep aubergine & olive green palette. Well, I do love a challenge!

Inspired by the brief, I set about finding the perfect team to bring to life the look I envisioned starting with fine art photographer Ashlee from Taylor Barnes Photography, who I knew would bring softness to the overall look and feel through her camera. The private dining room at East London's trendy hangout Bistrotheque, an industrial space with concrete floors and exposed ceilings, was the perfect location. To contrast this I wanted wild & organic florals in rich plum and blush shades with trailing green foliage, and Amy from Bo Boutique was the perfect florist to nail the look. Although the overall look needed to be pretty - and totally wedding worthy - I wanted to make sure the concept suited both the bride and groom. So with an eclectic mix of antique and mid-century furniture from Inspire Hire, I styled a whisky lounge complete with crystal decanters and cigars to give the feel of a cosy gentleman's club, accented with lace and tulle, and completed with cake display side board by The Abigail Bloom Cake Company.

The incredible hanging floral display using copper piping and flowers is a nod to one of 2015's hottest trends, as it becomes less about what's on the table and more about what's above it. So not to distract, I chose elegant neutral linens and crockery from Zara Home, and as a nod to the groom's job in chemistry used flasks as vases and added a test tube favour to each place setting. The stationery tied the whole look together, cleverly designed by Kate Ruth Romey to create a contemporary suite using bold fonts and geometric patterns.
