Ana and Thomas celebrated their marriage on a warm Sydney Summer day. With a love of all thing sweet, they incorporated sweetness and the bride's love of lace and lilacs into a day that was classic, sweet and every bit "them". They chose Pictures & Hearts Photography to capture their wedding day.

Ana tells the story of how they came to be. "Unfortunately, there is no romantic story attached describing how perfect it was when we met each other. We met at a club - Red Room to be precise. As the only tall white guy in the room, Tom stood out by default. Ana, on the other hand, was the most beautiful girl in the building. After a few glances and some myopic squinting, Tom summoned the courage to approach his future wife. Conversation was easy. One hour passed and Ana's friends beckoned for the door. Throwing caution to the wind, Tom went all in and asked for Ana's number. Though we started out as friends we quickly became boyfriend and girlfriend, partners, loves and now, husband and wife."

The wedding was styled around the words "Sweet Love", Ana remarking, "Our theme for the wedding is "Sweet Love" for our feelings for one another and the groom's predilection to all things sweet. We've featured a sweet buffet for our engagement party, bridal shower and had one for our wedding reception. I've has always had a fondness for lilac and lace so this was featured throughout the wedding."

Ana chose a gown designed by Karen Willis Holmes which she purchased at Akina Bridal Couture . She notes, "Very early on, I knew that I wanted an Australian designer and Karen Willis Holmes was the only one for me! Karen Willis Holmes bridal dresses are both stylish and sophisticated and I love the fact that her gowns are made in Australia. The 'Jillian' gown was the first I tried on and I immediately loved it but thought to try other Karen Willis Holmes' designs because I couldn't resist." Ana's bridesmaids wore lilac gowns from Dessy purchased at Legacy Brides,

Ana started the processional by herself, ending with her father.

Ana and Thomas chose St Peter Chanel in Hunters Hill for their ceremony.

Ana and Thomas chose Deckhouse Woolwich for their wedding reception, loving the intimate feel it offered.

Kobayashi Flowers created the floral arrangements for the day, which included the bride's favourite bloom- the lilac. Sweet Bloom Cakes created a buffet of sweet treats, cupcake wedding favors for each guest and a three tier wedding cake with sugar blooms.

Congratulations on your marriage Ana and Thomas! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Pictures & Hearts Photography and Karen Willis Holmes for sharing today's wedding with us.
