Call us hopeless romantics, (or call us nosey!) but we just love hearing about how couples meet.

Rachel and Jared are, "an artsy girl from Long Island, and a preppy guy from Massachusetts," who met online, romanced in New York, and four years, two apartments and one cat later, they're as loved up as ever.

And a year ago today (happy engageversary guys!) they returned to the scene of their first date, where Jared popped the question.

It's a modern day epic love story!

This gorgeous pair are set to get married next month, but we're still feasting our eyes on their engagement session.

Taking a stroll with the the awesome Farnaz K Studio, the couple documented a candid ramble and stolen moments in Brooklyn. We love bright, relaxed engagement sessions in every day surroundings, so this one ticks all the boxes for us!

But before you take a peek, we'll let Rachel tell you a little more about how she and Jared came to be...

Jared and I met on JDate. He had JUST joined and I was thinking about shutting down my account - Jared was my "last ditch effort." I wasn't 100% sure I would go through with the date, as I was still tentative on online dating. Before we went out on our first date, we exchanged emails and friended one another on Facebook. At that point, we realized we had two friends in common - one was a dear friend of mine from growing up who happened to be one of Jared's best friends from college and his fraternity brother. The other was a new friend of mine from work who also happened to be Jared's fraternity brother. After seeing our connections, I decided to go out on the date and the rest is history. Our first date was at Rose Bar in Gramercy - the same location Jared would propose 4 years later.
