Our resident Girl About Town, Kate, recently popped along to the sneak peek of the National Wedding Show to see what's in store for brides this Autumn...

It's nearly show time...

It's not every day you walk into a room where a table setting includes a bright decadent flower centre piece topped with a peacock (called Roger, not real) but that's exactly what greeted us as we got a sneak peek of what's in store at The National Wedding Show this autumn.

The beautiful table by certainly captured everyone's energy and vibrancy as they all look forward to the shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester in September and October. Amie's team predict a big trend for navy and gold theming, with coral still being a mainstay as we head into 2015.

A bit of sparkle was certainly another talking point as we chatted to Le Papillon Patisserie. All things metallic will be popping up on cakes this autumn and winter, with edible glitter and gold leaf making winter creations a very glamorous affair.

When catching up with jewellers it was hard to avoid their own wide selection of jewels but the Sparkle Cut range really grabbed our attention. They are the perfect illusion giving the same sparkle effect as diamonds by simply cutting into the metal. Pair a sparkle cut wedding band with your engagement ring and you would never know - perfect for those on a budget.

There were jewels aplenty with bringing a wide range of unique head pieces to the show. A particular favourite of ours were the Hair Vines that can be placed around your chosen hairstyle, completely moulding and shaping your head perfectly. What's more Jane often then turns these vines into bracelets for brides, making part of your special day a year round accessory.

When we met Juliet Lemon , wedding photographer, she summed it all up for us "Weddings are about the bride and groom having fun on their day. Let's celebrate, have a great time and enjoy it"
