#166: terracotta & mint

Written by: louise

Hello lovely readers! I hope you all had a lovely weekend? It's coming to the end of a super busy wedding season, are there many 2014 brides left out there?! I'm loving the variety of styles and colour palettes out there this year (less vintage pinks and sage more bold coral and mint, yay!) so for this week's inspiration board I'm going for something a bit different; terracotta & mint. A shade between coral and red, terracotta is a fab choice for warming up on-trend mint! This combo looks fresh enough for summer and cosy enough for winter (just add loads of candles), and is so versatile it would suit almost any venue! For a desert, beach or destination wedding add more succulents, air plants and natural tones. In the Mediterranean pick a setting among the cobbles streets, string fairy lights and go for rustic wooden details. For a sophisticated English country manor add pewter vases, and elegant tableware to really add some glamour! Oh, so much love for this versatile palette!

In other news, this weekend's been all about recovering from a rather epic shoot for You & Your Wedding at the end of last week; teaming up with a dream team of suppliers to help a 2015 bride with a rather interesting design dilemma, so make sure you grab a copy when it hits the shelves at the end of September!
