Bradley and Sophie married on the 17th April 2014 at Nottinghamshire. With a love of vintage tea rooms it was only right that they had an afternoon tea wedding. They collected vintage china, made bunting, had a delicious array of cakes and an ice cream van. Woodborough Hall, Truly scrumptious.

Sophie donned an exquisite Justin Alexander lace dress with a chic bun hair style while the boys wore dashing suits and floral ties. Don't miss the pretty blooms and sparklers too.

Thanks so much to Simon Dewey for sharing these gorgeous images today.

THE PROPOSAL | Bradley proposed whilst we were on holiday in Skiathos. It was really romantic; he got down on one knee on our balcony which had beautiful views overlooking the bay.

THE VISION | We wanted to put our personalities into the day. I have a soft spot for vintage tea rooms so we went from there. We had all our favourite sweets and cakes. We collected vintage china which was fun.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We enjoyed every moment of planning bought lots of magazines, went to a few wedding fares and loved looking on Pinterest and Etsy for ideas. We booked the essentials straight away like the Venue, Car ect and collected all the decorations as we went.

BUDGET | We set out a budget early on for the wedding and we shopped around for most of things we bought or hired. We collected all our own vintage china tea cups and saucers from car boots and charity shops which cost us less than hiring them. On my Hen do my girls organised a craft day, we made lots of bits like bunting for the wedding which I loved!!

We made our own sweet stand which meant we could pick all our favourite sweets. Rather than having desert during the wedding breakfast we hired Betsy the Ice cream van and family members made cakes for our afternoon tea and with the vintage china it really set the scene.

We also got married on the Thursday before Good Friday so we got a really good deal on our venue and our guests only had to take one day off with it being Easter.

THE VENUE | Woodborough Hall, Nottingham.A beautiful old manor house, perfect for a vintage wedding. The staff we're so helpful and friendly and they were so welcoming of all my ideas.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | My Dress was a Justin Alexander gown. My shoes were Rainbow Club from the same store as my dress. I had a vintage belt which my mum made; she's incredibly talented and crafty.

Allison Jenner was my hairdresser she also did Hannah and Samantha's hair our two bridesmaids.

FINDING THE DRESS | I knew I wanted something fitted and it had to be lace. I visited a few shops in Nottingham and tried my dress on in two different shops. Its sounds cheesy but I knew it was the one. My dress was one of the first things I bought so I made a decision on it really early which can be risky but I never regretted it.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Brad didn't want to hire formal suits so he bought his suit from Ted Baker and we ask the rest of the groomsmen to wear blue suits and we bought them all Liberty floral print ties which we had made from Etsy.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | Two of my very close friends did readings at the wedding. We both chose a reading each.

I chose "When I am old I will wear purple". And Bradley chose "He never leaves the seat up". We wanted something funny, light hearted and meaningful.

We had a violinist for the wedding ceremony. We put our personal touch to it by having theme tunes to our famous movies.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My Beautiful Bridesmaids Hannah, Alex and Sam.

We tried everything from high street stores to bridal stores and we eventually found the dresses in Debenhams. The dresses were new seasons stock when we first found them so I kept my eye on the website and a few months after our shopping trip they went into the sale and I managed to get them for half the price. Hannah was 6 months pregnant at the wedding so the bridesmaid dress wouldn't have fitted or have been suitable but she managed to find a maternity dress on ASOS which really complimented the other two bridesmaid dresses.

THE FLOWERS | We used Flowers by Rebecca. Rebecca was so lovely and patient. We changed my mind several times on things we wanted and didn't and she was always so helpful, understanding and full of ideas. The flowers really did set the scene for our big day and everyone commented on how beautiful they were. As we went down the vintage afternoon tea theme we hired tea pots from Darby and Joan which we had as our centre piece. We wanted very country cottage looking flowers. We had jars down the aisle and tea pots with flowers dotted around the venue to tie in with the tables.

THE CAKE | My Nan made my cake. She bakes cakes for everyone and a birthday hasn't gone by in which she hasn't made me a birthday cake. I have many memories as a young girl of baking with my Nan. It meant so much to me that she was able to make my wedding cake. She did an amazing job. It was so elegant and simple. We had 3 tiers, all different flavoured sponge with ivory Icing. We had lace around the top and bottom tiers and pearls around the middle and an arrangement of fresh flowers for the topper.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | The very talented Simon Dewey, Simon photographed my friend's wedding for whom I was bridesmaid. His photos were beautiful and so memorable. We feel honoured to have had him as our photographer, he is so talented. We keep looking back at our photos and it feels like we're reliving the day. He captured every moment perfectly.

THE DETAILS & DECOR | My very talented mum made my table plan, post box and many other bits and bobs for the day. Our ideas were mainly from Etsy or Pinterest. We visited a couple of wedding fairs.

We also hired Betsy the ice cream van for our afternoon tea we didn't tell guests so it was a real surprise when they saw her on the lawn and the ice cream was delicious. We were able to choose our own flavours and Amy decorated Betsy with bunting which was really cute.

THE HONEYMOON | Travelling is something that interests us both so when it came to the Honeymoon we knew it had to be something special. San Francisco is somewhere we had wanted to visit for a long time so we made it our first stop.We saw all the well-known sights and San Francisco did not disappoint. After 4 nights in San Francisco we flew to Vancouver and stayed for one night before embarking on our cruise ship around Alaska. We had 8 nights on board the Carnival Miracle and had the most amazing time. We went on Whale watching and trekked the forest looking for bears. We finished our cruise in Seattle where we had 3 Nights. We were away for 18 nights in total and can definitely say we had a Honeymoon to remember.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | We loved every part of our day and to have all your loved ones with you to share it with is incredible.

After the ceremony we went for a drive just the two of us and we stopped for pictures in a nearby village. It was nice to have that moment as you don't get much time to take it all in as the day goes so quickly.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Enjoy the planning and be organised. Make the day about the two of you rather than trying to please everybody else.

We were lucky enough to have friends and family to help with the décor and cakes etc. Ask around it feels really special that they have been a part of your big day and can save a fortune.
