Vivian Hui and Frank Maidens, September 28, 2013, Toronto, Ontario.

"Frank proposed on a casual Tuesday night at home. It was nothing dramatic, nothing grandiose, just a simple proposal full of love, which is a perfect reflection of the life we've built together," shares Vivian. "Like most couples we were looking for ways to have our wedding day feel special, but accomplish that feeling while working within a budget," Vivian states.

The couple held their celebration at Beverley Halls in downtown Toronto. Simplistic black and white decor combined with innovative paper details perfectly complemented the venue's elegance. "We thought paper flowers for table decorations, boutonnieres and my bouquet would be a nice way to extend the concept established by our invitations," explains Vivian. "We were both inspired by the traditional craft of Chinese paper cutting."
