Destination wedding at Chateau la Durantie

Good Morning to you! I have a wonderful romantic and relaxed wedding at Chateau la Durantie in the Dorgodne area of South West France. Julia & Ash, an English couple decided to get married in Dordogne, precisely Lanouaille , near Bordeaux, a quiet part of France. Planned by French Wedding Style Sponsor Dream French Wedding and captured by Matteo Castelluccia and Gianluca Adovasio, Chateau la Durantie provides a stunning backdrop for a destination wedding.

Julia's drop waisted Pronovias wedding dress and light pastel bridesmaids dresses are just some of my favourite details in an outdoor wedding that just sums up to me, the benefits of a destination wedding in France.

Wedding day videographer Matteo Castelluccia takes us through their big day: " For Julian and Ash, their marriage was not only an incredible day, but a whole week spent in celebration with family and friends, and we were so lucky to get to this lovely place.

On the wedding day, as all brides during the getting ready, Julia was slightly anxious but with the help of her friends it dissipated as they practiced speeches and jokes. The ceremony was held in the church of Saint-Pierre -ès -Liens, of French Gothic style, in the town of Lanouaille. Later, the couple photographer Gianluca Adovasio and I headed out with the bride and groom to take portrait pictures at some typical French buildings and immersed ourselves in the countryside of the Perigord Vert region. The main wedding celebrations took place at Chateau la Durantie, an elegant castle built in 1845, and the couple welcomed their guests in the garden in front of the castle, a picturesque setting for their dinner. The evening continued in a marquee where Julia and Ash cut the cake, enjoyed their first dance and a performance by a pianist.

Overall the wedding was relaxed and informal, and these feelings can be seen in the video and decorations. The theme could be summed up as rustic, organic and natural, using wildflowers and preserving jars. A neutral color palette of greens and cream which complimented the beautiful natural environment was seen throughout the day . French food and wine was enjoyed by all guests who provided much laughter and creating memories for Ash and Julia on their big day. "
