Corné + Mia's Vintage Love

Corné + Mia's Vintage Love

Love, love, love... Is all you need. The love story of Corné and Mia is one to enjoy, take in and be inspired by. This couple got married at Imperfect Perfection just outside of Pretoria earlier this year. Louise Vorster Photography captured their day and she visually tells the story magnificently. Her work is always of high quality and it is such an honor to have her part of the team. The video was done by Pink Flower Productions, the Decor and flowers by Love & Grace, the music was done by DJ Showtech and Mia's beautiful dress was done by The Bridal Wardrobe. Have a look and let us know what you think.

I Propose | Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

Our story began on a hot spring day... Mutual friends had invited us to go watch a cricket game at Super Sport Park. The friend that invited Corné had actually planned to take a girl on an informal date, but she cancelled on at the last minute. He then contacted Corné, who is not a cricket fan, and asked him to come with. From the first moment we saw each other we knew that we were meant to be. One week later, we went on our first date, where Corné asked me to be his girlfriend. Two years, four months, one week and six days later we got engaged. Another one year and one week later we got married.

Bride & Prejudice | Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

The planning went quite smoothly, with my husband helping out with everything. We had a few days where all the bridesmaids would come, we would fold paper flowers and drink wine. That was fun!

My Fair Wedding | Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

Our wedding day was spectacular! It was the BEST day of my life! Everything went perfectly. We thought that it was going to rain on the day, since it had been raining the entire week before the wedding. But when I woke up that day and looked out my window, the sun was shining. It kept on shining all day... Late that night it started to pour, so we had the blessings of God bestowed upon us... The one thing that stood out most about our wedding was the fact that my mother could be there. She was in hospital the entire week before the wedding, and had open heart surgery the Friday after the wedding. The doctors discharged her for the day, so that she could be there with me.

Don't Tell The Bride | Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

All went well, or so I thought! The day after the wedding I found out that one guest did not come to the wedding, and that another guest had brought a date without telling us! Luckily it worked out well, since the guest who did not come and the guest who brought his date sat at the same table. This left a space for the date to sit.

No More Wedding Woes | Share your wedding advice for future brides.

The planning is as much part of your wedding as the day itself, so make it fun for yourself! Remember that things WILL go wrong, but that is part of the whole thing... Don't let it get you down. Include your fiancé in the planning (my husband enjoyed it as much as I did).
