Marchesa Bridal 2015 Spring Collection

Marchesa Bridal 2015 Spring Collection

I haven't started shopping for my own wedding dress yet so I'm paying particular attention this week to all the prettiness that has been making it's way down the runway at New York Bridal week and as always, I was instantly drawn to Marchesa. With an arrangement of interesting necklines and a hemline to please all, the designer didn't stray very far from their signature style, staying true to their romantic, ethereal and very feminine silhouettes for Spring 2015. Beautiful lace and embroidery detailing played a leading role with organza and silk faille fabrics dramatising the large, fuller ball gown type skirts to full effect. Making a not so welcome comeback (for me anyway) was the all too familiar late 1980s, early 1990 inspired "off shoulder" cap sleeve. Annoyingly, one of my favourite bridesmaid dresses designed by Amsale comes in a similar style, but for bridal wear, I really wasn't appreciating it. Perhaps it was the balance between the shoulder detail and the fuller skirt? Being a fan of colour, the blush tones and soft pink dresses were a winner for me again being subtle and romantic as ever. So.. what did you think? Yay or nay?
