Romantic Napa Valley Vineyard Wedding

Romantic Napa Valley Vineyard Wedding

via

Romantic weddings of course are not limited to France, so when this Napa Valley vineyard wedding from Krystal Kenney popped into my inbox complete with the stunning reception backdrop of the cask room, I couldn't wait to feature it on the blog.

Bride Kate's demure wedding dress complete with lace trimmed veil and soft pastel flowers, would be right at home in a vineyard in the South of France as well as the California landscape. There is an understated elegance in Kate's bridal look that sits in contrast to the dramatic cask room, that I am just a little in love with!

Bride Kate takes us through her day: " We absolutely love St. Helena and all of Napa Valley. We wanted a European feel to our wedding and Napa was a perfect place to do it. We also wanted to treat our friends and family to a napa wine experience. Our unique Napa Valley wedding was held at a traditional vineyard with the reception in a Merrivale's gorgeous cask room family run for 25 years.

The ceremony was held outside in the garden of Tra Vigne at sunset under soft lit hanging lights with our friends and family standing around. My husband's father acted as the officiant. After a cocktail hour we headed next door to the Marrivale cask room, surrounded by huge cask made for holding their family run vineyard wines. Both my husband and I had been married before and wanted to make this second wedding special and intimate. We had a special guest list of 60 of our closest family and friends. My husband's son and daughter from a previous marriage acted as the maid of honor and best man. His son also is in a child Rock and Roll band and performed the walk in music for the gorgeous cask room reception. A twist of rock and roll with a traditional backdrop. Fine wine and sophisticated food adorned the table including: Pappardelle, Pan Roasted Local Fish, and Smoked and Braised Beef Short Ribs, of course paired with fine wines from the region. The guests table placings were set with their name and a small bottle of fine olive oil from the region.

We wanted a small wedding where we could really enjoy time with our friends and family, somewhere they could get a little vacation in too. Napa valley was perfect for that. Our friends could go wine tasting, rent bikes and go for hikes. We all found ways to meet up and celebrate throughout the whole wedding weekend! "

Thank you to Krystal for submitting this and how stunning is that room!
