Destination Wedding in Switzerland with Rochelle Cheever

Elizabeth and Reijer met while attending a work conference at Hotel Beau Rivage in Lausanne, Switzerland. Little did they know that they would return exactly one year later to get married, in the same hotel! They literally knew they had found their life companion almost straight away and when they decided to marry, they thought it appropriate to return to the Beau Rivage where they had met. Reijer even recalls his first time seeing the Beau Rivage, thinking that it would be a great place to marry.. One year later- to the day- he was back to do exactly that. Rochelle Cheever was there to capture this classically elegant wedding.

Elizabeth is originally from Lebanon while Reijer from the Netherlands and they both now live in Geneva. To add another romantic element to their story, the couple got engaged at the Borghese Gardens in Rome. Their wedding was ultra international, with friends and family coming from literally across the globe: Barcelona, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Italy, Egypt, the USA, Syria, England, Ireland, Australia and Morocco were some of the nationalities attending. Their ceremony was held in an Armenian Orthodox church in Geneva while afterwards they all drove to Lausanne, had a few photographs taken around town stopping along the way at strategic locations. They celebrated their elegant reception afterwards at the Beau Rivage Palace with lots of food, wine & dancing.
