A little Friday afternoon love for you…

Kelsey and Alan met 9 years ago and are planning their wedding for May next year. They headed to their favourite park in Glasgow for their Autumnal engagement shoot. Beautiful colours, intimate moments and so much feeling. Gorgeous.

Kelsey told me; “I am originally from Canada and Alan is from Northern Ireland. We met 9 years ago in Vancouver Canada on a summer party boat cruise. We have settled in the Southside of Glasgow.”

 

 

“We got engaged last December in New York City in Central Park. Alan and I were strolling through the park and he said to me “Why don’t you go and stand under that tree and I will get a photo of you”. So I was like “okay” and I really wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary to happen at that moment so I stood under the tree and posed for the photo. A wee smirk came over Alan’s expression after he took the photo and then that’s when I realized something was going on. He began to walk towards me and he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I said “YES” of course. My ring is very special to me as it was a Christmas gift from Alan many years ago and I had always worn it on my right hand. It is antique and dates back to the 1930s. I had said many times to Alan that if we ever got engaged I would want this ring but have the zircon changed to a diamond. That’s exactly what he did:] It is perfect!”

 

 

“We did wait sometime to do our engagement shoot but we really wanted the time of year that we got it done to have some significance. We chose Pollok Park as it is our favorite park in Glasgow. We really lucked out as the leaves were still changing colors and it wasn’t too cold. When Chris and Gillian sent us our images we were so pleased with them. They got it just right. The images reflect us, our emotions and our style.”

 

 

“On the 31st of May 2014 we will be getting married at Cottiers theatre in the West End of Glasgow. It will be quite an intimate affair as we are inviting only close family and friends. Everything is pretty much in place in regards to planning.”
