A Colourful DIY Back Garden at Home Wedding in the US

via

Sarah and Matt had the coolest back garden DIY wedding which was full of colour in their own home in the US.

There were mismatched bridesmaids, quirky stationery, super hero boutonnières, pretty blooms, a jam jar escort card table not to mention the sweetest first look on their porch.

There really isn’t much not to love about their wedding.

Thanks so much to BG Productions for sharing their images with me via Two Bright Lights.

From The Bride: Matt &I had the best time planning all of this together. Wedding planning isn’t at all overwhelming or stressful when you are both involved in all of the details. We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are and the things we love. Having it at our house made it all that more special and meaningful since we were able to truly make every detail our own. Many ideas came from what we are passionate about: Matt loves music, so we made our guestbook a mandolin; We love animals, so we made a donation to our local dog rescue instead of giving out favors. Everyone keeps commenting about how much work the wedding must have been–but when you love creating things and giving old things new purpose, it isn’t work. We took our time–we started planning and creating in October of 2012–whenever we got an idea, we just went out and searched until we found everything we needed for it and then made it .
