A Family & Timeless Pastel Wedding

A Family & Timeless Pastel Wedding

via

Daniela and Paul had a family focused wedding back in April which was set at Blakelands Country House, Staffordshire. They wanted to create a relaxed timeless wedding with pretty pastel colours.

I so love the cute pageboys and flower girls donning flower crowns, the bridesmaids dresses in striking turquoise, the cake table and shutter seating plan. Daniela looked beautiful in a lace Enzoani dress and relaxed up do, while the boys wore grey suits from Next and tan shoes.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Anna Hardy for sharing her photographs with us today and to Mark W Brown for sharing his film with us.

The Proposal… We were on holiday in Malcesine, Lake Garda. After going for a lovely meal we were sat on a jetty overlooking the lake when he popped the question!

The Vision for the Day… I hoped to achieve a relaxed, timeless look with softs pastel colours.

The Planning Process… I spent a bit of time looking through magazines and on the internet for ideas.

The Venue… The blakelands country house, bobbington.

The Dress + Accessories…Ghislaine, Enzoani.

Finding the Dress… I tried on a few different styles until I found one that I felt like ‘me’ in.

Groom’s Attire… Suits from Next, Ties and our sons suit (pageboy) were from A Suit That Fits.

The Readings + Music… Our son and niece read a poem that they had wrote. Songs during the service Train, drops of Jupiter and Plain white T’s, Hey there Delilah

Beautiful Bridesmaids… My bridesmaids were my sister, best friend and sister in law. They wore dresses by Ebony Rose. My flowergirls were my daughter and niece who wore dresses from I love gorgeous. There hair accessories were done by our florist.

The Flowers… It had to be Passion for flowers, there style is just amazing and they are so helpful in helping to cater for your needs!

The Cake… We had a desert table made by Cotton & Crumbs, it tasted as beautiful as it looked!

Your Photographer… The amazing Anna Hardy, as soon as we came across her blog we knew we had to book her. Her photos really do tell a story of the day.

We also had Mark Brown do our wedding film.

The Details + Decor… All of the décor either came from my home or I made it. The cake topper and illustration were from Etsy – Tilly Biedron.

The Honeymoon… We had a few days away city living in London.

Memorable Moments… For both of us it was the seeing each other at the church, the service and our first dance to The Lumineers – Ho Hey.

Advice for Other Couples… Prioritise what’s most important to you during the day and budget accordingly so you can look back with no regrets!!
