A Beautiful Purple Countryside Wedding

A Beautiful Purple Countryside Wedding

via

Vicki and David married back in the Spring at Farbridge, West Sussex. They wanted their day to be beautiful, intimate and relaxed.

They went for a fun purple colour scheme, with country style blooms, the maids in elegant purple dresses and sweet purple decorations. Vicki looked stunning in a flowing dress with her hair in natural waves, while David wore traditional tails. Such a gorgeous day.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Alexa Loy for sharing her photographs with us today.

The Proposal… Christmas morning 2011, ring was hiding on the Christmas tree.

The Vision for the Day… To be beautiful, relaxed and intimate.

The Planning Process… Fun, inspiring and a lot of commitment!

The Venue… Farbridge, West Dean

The Dress + Accessories… Teagan, Sottero and Midgley.

Finding the Dress… I found this dress with my mum and my nan from a beautiful boutique called Proposals in Chichester.

Groom’s Attire… Dark navy morning suit.

The Readings + Music… My brother read a very personal reading that was titled ‘I’ve got a sister’. It had everyone in tears! David’s sister also did a beautiful reading ‘David and Victoria’s wedding day’. Music – Band called Wingfield who were AMAZING and so energetic!

Beautiful Bridesmaids… Jodie, Jem, Kate, Beck and Kelly, my bestest friends were dressed in striking purple, a wonderful contrast to my ivory gown.

The Flowers… Stunning country bouquets which brought our venue to life!

The Cake… Made my David’s mum Karen. It featured a model of the 2 of us along with our fluffy black cats Raffy and Poppy.

Your Photographer… Alexa Loy Dent – very talented and professional throughout the whole day.

The Details + Decor… Country – like theme with country flowers, stone walls in the venue, wooden beams to represent a barn. Purple colour scheme, with luggage tag decorations featured through out on sweetie jars, table plan and bedroom doors!

The Honeymoon… Maldives and Singapore – holiday of a life time.

Memorable Moments… When my dad got up in his speech to sing me a song on his guitar titled ‘My Little Girl’.

Advice for Other Couples… Make the most of every moment of your day as it flies by in an instant.
