The stunning desert landscape of the Southwest served as the perfect backdrop for Jessica + Stephen’s effortlessly beautiful wedding portraits, captured by Gideon Photography. Proving that sometimes simplicity is best, all this session needed was a delicately handmade wedding dress, a sweetly hued textural bouquet + an adorable couple, who is madly in love!  I’ll let Jessica share the sweet story of how they met:

Stephen + I have known each other for a long time. We grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, had all the same friends, even sat by each other in a few classes + wrote secret notes to one another. Stephen is my older brother’s age; he was the boy everyone had a crush on. Including me. But our love story didn’t start there. After he graduated, stephen moved away to college + served an LDS mission, so after three years of not seeing one another, our paths crossed again. I was going to a friend’s house + knew that Stephen was going to be there. I was so nervous I didn’t even say hi to him! He jokes that “I had him at no-hello.” After that night we spent four seasons becoming best friends, trying new things, finding adventure, studying our way through college, + falling deeply in love.
